Eligibility for CFAP
Every candidate should have atleast 45 points to be a Certified Forensic Accounting professional. Every year of Education carries 10 points and every year of work-experience is worth 5 points. To put it in simple words, any graduate with minimum three years of experience is eligible for the examination of CFAP. Ex: If a CA or CS aspirant who completed 3 years of articleship experience wants to appear for the exams of Certified Forensic Accounting Professional then it is essential that he is Graduate. Experience of CA articleship is considered to be valid experience for the purpose of CFAP eligibility.
Members are encouraged to be certified by taking the examination. It is not a practice to offer the honorary certification or waiver of the
examination for Certified Forensic Accounting Professional aspirants. However, If you
fulfill the criterion of 80 points or more then you can

certifications where the waiver of examination is
available.Once the person completes his Certified Forensic Accounting Professional he becomes eligible for the Indianveshan award of Indiaforensic. You can click here for more information about Indianveshan
Aspirants working in the corporate sector or wish to
make their career in the forensic accounting can apply for
the certification.Those corporate professionals without Graduation can also apply for the Certification if they meet the criterion of 45 points. However, waiver and the corporate professional admissions are strictly the discretion of the Education team of Indiaforensic Center of Studies.
Any
candidate who is a graduate and have at least one year
of experience in the Nationalised Banks, Private sector
banks, Co-operative banks or non-banking finance
company, credit card company or a financial institution
can apply for the examination of Certified Banking
Forensic Accountant.
