Sunil Bahri, Certified Forensic Accounting Professional and a Company Secretary based out of Dubai is the new Chairman of the Dubai Chapter of Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
In his speech, Bahri narrated the prospective plan of the Dubai Chapter to promote the profession of company secretaries in West Asia.
Bahri apprised about the promotion of good governance initiatives in the UAE and also referred to the decree issued by the government in Dubai towards mandatory appointment of women director’s on the boards of Dubai-based companies.
Mr. Sunil Bahri, Chairman of the First International Chapter of The ICSI, India shared details of UAE federation formed in 1971 and pivotal role played by the Founding Fathers of UAE H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and H.H Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
He also shared the visions of the current rulers – H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai with all guests from India.
He highlighted details of Decree on code of Corporate Governance issued in 2011 covering all Profit and Non Profit organizations as well as a recent decision making it mandatory for all corporations and government entities to have Woman Director on Board.
Sunil Bahri is the CEO of Kaizensox consulting, which provides forensic accounting and investigation consultancy service.
